Thoughtful Options Begin with a Conversation

Every event brings together guests with different tastes, preferences, traditions and dietary needs. Cookery Events develops customized menus around the information supplied by the client.

Please identify dietary requests, ingredient restrictions and known allergies as early as possible. This gives our team time to discuss suitable options, preparation requirements, sourcing and service considerations before the menu is finalized.

Available accommodations depend on the selected dishes, kitchen and venue conditions, ingredient availability, service format and the specific level of restriction.

  • Vegetarian options
  • Vegan selections
  • Gluten-free requests
  • Dairy-free requests
  • Halal and kosher needs
  • Children’s meals

Important Allergy Information

Clear Communication Is Essential

Food allergies can be serious. Please do not rely only on a general dietary label when a guest has a diagnosed allergy or severe sensitivity.

Tell Us Before the Menu Is Finalized

Disclose each known allergen, the guest’s required level of avoidance and any concerns about shared preparation or serving environments during the inquiry and booking process.

Cookery Events will review the request, discuss what can reasonably be accommodated and identify any limitations before confirming the applicable menu item.

What We Need to Know

  • The specific ingredient or allergen involved
  • Whether the request is a preference, intolerance or allergy
  • The number of affected guests
  • Whether separate plating or labeling is requested
  • Any venue or outside-vendor food involvement
  • Questions about possible cross-contact

Inclusive Event Planning

From Children’s Plates to Guest-Specific Meals

A custom menu may combine shared dishes with individually identified meals when that approach is practical for the event and service style. Our team will help determine the clearest way to prepare, present and identify approved selections.

  • Discuss needs during your initial inquiry
  • Include dietary counts with the guest count
  • Confirm approved selections before the event
  • Identify guests or table locations when needed
  • Coordinate labeling and separate plating in advance
  • Communicate late changes as soon as possible

Helpful Answers

Dietary Accommodation FAQs

Can every menu item be made vegan, gluten-free or dairy-free?

Not necessarily. Feasibility depends on the dish, ingredients, preparation requirements and event environment. We will discuss suitable options rather than promise that every selection can be modified.

Can Cookery Events guarantee an allergen-free meal?

No food provider should make that promise without fully controlled conditions. We review allergy-sensitive requests carefully, but ingredients may be handled in shared kitchens or environments. Please discuss the specific allergy and required precautions before booking.

Do you provide halal or kosher catering?

These terms can involve different sourcing, certification, preparation and supervision standards. Tell us exactly what your guests require so we can review available options and confirm what can be provided or coordinated.

When are final dietary counts due?

Final guest counts and payment are generally due 14 days before the event. Dietary requirements should be raised much earlier and the final affected guest count confirmed by that deadline, subject to your event agreement.

Can children receive a different meal?

Yes. Customized children’s meal options can be discussed in advance, with selections and quantities confirmed as part of the event plan.
